This was my walk yesterday (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/perthshire/schiehallion.shtml), we were so lucky with the weather.
We got to the top and it was clear, giving us a wonderful view as far as Glen Coe. We had our lunch and just got finished when the mist started to roll in and we lost the vista, but it was well worth it while it lasted.
And here is the start of the path.
The sky was blue for most of the way. The passengers on this plane would have had a wonderful view of the Scottish Highlands. I’ve been told that it is a KLM MD-11 on its way to Toronto.
The view was stunning
Loch Tummel
Me looking back on what I had climbed
Dunalistair Reservoir
Looking towards where we had to walk to the summit
Nasty gully close to the path. It just shows you how careful you need to be when there is no visibility and you can’t see these hazards.
Looking over towards Glen Coe
Hope you all enjoyed my walk and am already looking forward to next one.
Really beautiful!
