Crochet hats

Its that time again to wear our stylish hats. There are so many nice yarns to choose from.

My latest crochet project that I have just finished is the Driftwood Cap shown below. I so love this pattern by Ellen Gormley and saw it in the Interweave crochet magazine of Autumn 2008.

The pattern uses a 5.5mm hook but I prefer using the 6 mm. It uses the FPdc crochet stitches. 

I have also used this pattern using a size 8mm crochet hook and it comes out as a beautiful slouch beret.

I always add a button on top of my hats as my signature :)

And on this one I added a crochet flower at the side.

  3. Lovely! What a great idea for using buttons. I have some that would look adorable on top like that.

    I think the yarn color of your hat is beautiful in that pattern.
