A day in the walled garden at Glamis

Here we are in mid May and finally the weather is improving. The morning was still a bit chilly but when you are working hard in the walled garden you don't  really feel the cold too much.

But by afternoon the sun was out and very warm which also makes the weeds grow... So today we spent the morning weeding and moving around plants and in afternoon we moved the plants into the cold frame.

We still need taller plants for the back of the herbaceous border but we can now start to see all our hard work take shape.

So if you are planning a trip over the summer to Glamis Castle, do pop in and see Karen and I if we are in the garden. We usually work there on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

  1. I wish I could pop in and visit! It looks like the new plants have settled in well. I love the Mecenopsis.
