Today I think we had all the seasons thrown at us.
It started with heavy rain, wind and then temperatures rose to 12deg and finally some sunshine for a short time.
I even had a little stroll in the garden in the light rain.
One of my favourite Hellebores.
This purple crocus is now in bud and will soon be a mass of spectacular colour.
This is my white double crocus.
I forgot I had this delightful Iris too.
Some more bulbs starting to show.
Just a little taster of Spring about to be Sprung.

Here we are after a very mild week 17th February and now we can start to see a start of Spring.
The start of the week was yes warm.
But end of week bitter cold.
This is a preview of my bulbs before a mass show of colour.
Snowdrops normally in bloom a while before my crocus ,but they are all starting to show signs of colour together.

3 Carrots
1 Leek
Season with salt and pepper
A quick and tasty soup recipe.
Chop all veggies then add to pan with a splash of olive oil when soft add 2 and half pints of vegetable stock.
Bring to boil then simmer.
Then Blitz and serve .

And as you can see snowdrops are now starting to show.
This is my blue and white theme area of plants which I planted up last summer.
Plants are still young so as this starts to grow I may still need to add to it.
Daphne Laureola ssp Philipi was new to my garden last Spring. I bought it as a young plant to grow on.

It all started this week with the weather turning much colder.
We have had hard frosts for some time now but still no sign of now until late Friday night then it arrived.
Saturday 4th February
The Snow started at 8.00am UK time and snowed all day long. It was icy cold but this morning is not feeling as cold now.
Not sure if this a good sign or not. Maybe the calm before the next storm.

My Potted Magnolia which was starting to grow through the fleece is now under a blanket of snow.
This is our blueberry bush, hope get more fruit this year.
