A day weeding in the walled garden today at Glamis Castle

Here we are now at the end of May and we can now start to see plants growing that we have planted. We’ve had a lot of cold days so far but inside the walled garden it has a micro-climate of it’s own and has been a pleasure to be working in.

Since February it has been only Karen and I doing volunteer gardening but today we had our 3rd volunteer start. I’m sure she’s going to be a big help to us.

We are now starting to get a lot of nice visitors chatting to us in the garden and even some repeat visitors in the short time that we have been there.

Look what I saw on route up to the walled garden this morning, they are so beautiful.

There is certainly going to be a large crop of apples and us the volunteers shall be picking the apples so no waste of spillage on ground!
